TRAIN SERIES

I  wanted to create a series of images that showed what life is and the journey of it. I decided to go with the train theme which I thought represented moments and unforeseen encounters. This is still an ongoing personal project which I began in July 2021 during in between some extra free time. I wanted these images to give the viewer a sense of moment, some sort of emotions however different they are in each story moment and a sense of journey throughout seeing it all.

The first image is about facing some events that are out of our control in life and taking the courage to step forwards. Its about self healing, to move forwards but to not forget the past and the things and memories you've learnt from the one's you hold dear. I love the concept of the red string that connects us all like fate in Japanese culture and I wanted to get back to more of my Taiwanese and Philippine roots.

The second image is inspired by a dream I had and I wanted to create it in life, it embodies youth and young zealous energy and bright hope. Reckless innocent confidence and joy for adventure and life. The dream had 3 Asian youth who just jumped off a country train and  rode the wave of reeds as the valley came alive at sunset.

The last image is pure power and strength, to tackle things head on and to be your own superhero. Life's like a bullet train going so fast and sometimes there's weight on your shoulder. One needs to slow things down, tackle it one thing at a time and grow through each experience.

I'm working on another world building pitch so for now this is on the back burner
